Dinosaur Piercings

I was at Universal Studios.

I was with some of my tour guide training group and we were just walking around the studio. We are looking at everything and trying to memorize where everything is and then we see a piece of land that has sort of like a moat around it. It's in the corner of the lot so there's a wall on two sides and then water on the other two sides. We see a small bridge and decide to cross and see what's over there. Turns out it's where they keep all of the REAL dinosaurs! This was great news and we were all very excited to see the dinosaurs. Now, they keep this area secret, but if you find it, then you're allowed to go look at all of them if you go through the proper procedure.

We walk across the bridge and there are signed explaining to us what kind of dinosaurs they have and what we're going to see. We're all very excited. We go into the first building and it's a security check-point just to make sure we're not bringing in anything inappropriate. They search our bags and pat us down or whatever. Then we go into another room with another check-point. They are drawing blood... I didn't really want to get my blood drawn, but I understand. They just have to make sure that we are healthy because they don't want any of the dinosaurs getting sick. So, we all got our blood drawn and went into the next room. THIS is where I drew the line.

It was the last check-point and what you had to go was get FOUR piercings somewhere on your body. I was completely shocked. The girls were like "Oh, hmm, I guess I'll just get two more earrings or something." but I was like "NO. I don't want to do this." I was looking around at the other people who were already getting some of their piercings and there was this one guy who was getting four of his FINGERS pierced. I have NO idea why. After you get the four piercings then you are able to go see the raptors. I thought about it for a while, but since they never told us WHY we had to get the piercings, I eventually just left. I could see some of the dinosaurs from outside anyways just kind of chillin' near the fence.
